They are full of mountains and most part of their territory is not suitable for agriculture, industry or living and that is why most of the population is located in the coast. Japan is one of the countries with a higher population density of the world. Japans weather is rainy and we find a high level of humidity. 10% of the active volcanoes in the world are located in Japan and this means that the country suffers approximately 1500 earthquakes of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter scale per year (it means small quakes). The big earthquakes with destructive effects take place several times each century and frequently become tsunamis. 2.2.- POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION The important amount of environmental problems that these practices have supposed have made necessary and imperative the emergence of different efforts in order to protect the environment and the recycling. This movement is known as the Japans eco-business market. The fast growing and development of Japan has been supported by a society based on the massive production and mass disposal. This gives as a result approximately 450 tons of waste generated every year. Which have also contribute a lot to the growth of this sector in Japan are the subsidies from central government especially in the areas of clean energy, solar power generation, fuel cells, waste treatment and recycling. The eco-business market increased in 2014 a 12%, reaching 41,3bn.$.
