Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Komodo Dragons Apart from their size, their saliva is loaded with bacteria and germs. They usually work as a group to attack large animals such as buffalo. They normally bite the animal on the leg, and the bite becomes infected from the lizard's saliva. Once their prey is bitten, Komodo dragons will follow their victim (sometimes for days) until, eventually, the animal dies from blood poisoning, and the lizards feast as a group. The types of animals Komodo Dragons feed on include goats, snakes, monkeys, sheep, cattle, wild boar, water buffalo and deer. Also, about 10% of their prey is made of other Komodo Dragons. The saliva of a Komodo dragon has a very deadly venom. Therefore, the bites of Komodo dragons are rather infectious and the animals bitten by them usually die within 24 hours after the Komodo dragon bites them. Komodo Dragons are very rare and are found only on five islands: The Lesser Sunda Islands of Komodo, Rinca, Gili Montang and Gili Dasami. They also live on the island of Flores, where they roam freely. More specifically, the Komodo dragon can live anywhere from a dry rainforest to a deciduous monsoon forest. Komodo dragons can live in different places, but no matter where they live, the Komodo dragon likes extreme heat.
