He also knew it would be a hassle to deal with when it became game time. The city of Atlanta had to make sure everyone was safe at the first game with African Americans. It was hard because there weregangs and hate groups that could have hurt AfricanAmericans or players during the game. The First Integrated Baseball Game The first integrated baseball game was hard on many people to get the game underway. Player Jackie Robinson had a hard time playing baseball. He didbecause he would be the first African American to play and break the color barrier. Even if it was difficult, everyone worked together to make the game safe, and fun. The game played had been packed with fans and families.
