I believe that New Zealand's economy will likely improve considering it being a small island nation. The IMF suggests that the global economy is expanding 3.25%/annum. NewZealand has outperformed several countries on inflation and unemployment in the past decade;being about the sixth largest relative to GDP in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) region. If NZ (New Zealand) continues to raise labour productivity;it can result in a higher income. There is also a rising demand for NZ's exports especially animal products and wood products; as it still remains 20 percent higher than the OECD average. NZ'seconomy is one of the least corrupt in the world; strong property rights and efficient allocating labour. NZ is pretty stable considering they have one of the biggest financial sector, theirbanks avoided several effects of global financial crisis (2015 Index, 2015). According to Moody's released annual credit analysis titled "New Zealand"; New Zealand's economic strength is assessed as "high (+); institutional strength as very high (+); fiscal strength as very high; and susceptibility to event risk as low (-) and banking sector risk as low" (Global Credit Research,2014). However,NZ has had some economic bubbles with a overvalued property market, interest rates being at all-time lows; similar to the US housing and credit inflation crisis that happened (Manning, 2014). Despitethese pitfalls the NZ economy, there is likeliness that NZ has room for economic growth and prosperity I would be happy living in New Zealand for a good amount of time due to many reasons. I think that my personality and hobbies/interests would definitely suit to the life in New Zealand. As it is a small country, not a huge population, and easy to get around places. For me personally, these are pros; I enjoy calm and relaxing environments where I can move around more easily. The landscapes and physical environment makes it easy to have more accessibility to hiking, biking, and windsurfing. I enjoy these outside activities more than physical sports. New Zealand's environment is much more cleaner than Canada as it is an island nation with much more respect to its natural outdoors, spectacular scenery, and a relative countryside with open space. The cost of living may be higher in New Zealand than Canada, however the countryhas low income taxes which is a big plus to have. Overall, I think that New Zealand would be a great place for me to dwell and live in considering that it is similar to Canada in many ways. Central Intelligence Agency.
