Eachyear 1 millimeter changes each year which isnt that much but over a long peroid of time it changed the size of mountains. The deformation also causedearthquakes and land slides from the plates crashingtogether. Natural Hazards From all of the deformation and the twoplates major earthquaks have occuredalso land slides from the stretching and twisting,There is also volcanos that are all around New Zealand. Most are not volcanicly active but erosion from over flowingrivers can cause change.
