Rashka Schwimmer Rashkas father (Ephriam Schwimmer) was a grocer and workedat a semitary. Jews were forced to register in order to get food and were forced to wear the yellow star. The Nut Tree ceased operations in 1996 due to financial problemsbrought on by increased competition and changing consumer tastes.
