Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Hiroshima and Nagasaki: the truth exposed Intro: For the americans, the bombing that happened was good for it stopped war. Also, many of the lives of the americans were saved. It also saved them troops and resources. For president truman, the best solution to end the war in his options is to invade the mainland of Japan and to use their resources and to drop an atomic bomb to make them surrender. According to Document A, they were thankful that the bombs were dropped because if they didnt, thousands of lives would be takenaway because even the british troops would be affected. For the japanese, the bombing was bad because many innocent lives were taken. Even if there was a war going on, no one deserves to be treated like that just to end war. The dropping of the 2 bombs was devastating for it left people with no clothes, no food to eat or shelter to live in. Both sides were affected in different ways which can be seen until now Relationship betweenJapanese and American Effects of radiation until now/effect on the people in japan Things we should learn from this event... 1. Dont choose the easy way out - find ALL options (talk peacefully)2. Dont be selfish and think about your country only ----> think of the effects it will have on other nations and future generations After the war, the U.S. and Japan were able to make a strong diplomatic alliance. Even if they did not have a good past, they used their past experiences for the benefit of each other. Because of the atomic bomb, there were long term effects of radiation. Between 90,000 to 166,000 died in Hiroshima and 60,000 to 80,000 died in Nagasaki due to the radiation. Another long term effect is the mutation caused by the radiation also which can have certain effects on our cells.
