He knew how important it was to have someone help him, rather than just handing him a stack of printed brochures and a list of phone numbers. He wanted to provide a service to those faced with cancer to become informed and help them locate the best options available. Cancer was a big part of his life. He was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 1992 at age 24. He survived and lived a healthy life. In 2010 doctors found a brain tumor-glioblastoma-the most aggressive malignant primary brain tumor. For each cancer diagnosis, Michael had people to rely on who helped him navigate his journey, but he was acutely aware that not everyone experiences this type of support and care. His goal was to provide a concierge service to all people battling cancer, at no cost to them. Michael died in August 2012, but he would be grateful and proud that his vision has been realized.
