Good Evil Moral law increases freedom since when we follow morality and do what is right, we gain more trust and responsibility. Freedom is ordered to the good. We have the responsibility to do what is right. We are accountable for our actions. Doing good liberates us. We expand our choices by doing what is right. God doesn't force us to choose good, but it is what we are called to do. When we choose evil we become slaves to sin. We start to become buried in our sin and find it difficult to stop when we choose what is wrong. We limit ourselves when we sin. People see us less trustworthy and we aren't given as much freedom from others when we sin. Freedom is related to knowledge since our knowledge of right and wrong determines what our moral responsibility is. Freedom doesn't mean doing evil is okay. The point of freedom is being able to choose good to do what God wants willingly.
