Each segment of DNA has a nucleotide, phosphate group, 5 carbon sugar called deoxyribose, and a nitrogenous base. The nitrogenous bases are Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytocine. DNA is very important because it helps our understanding of its structure and functioning. DNA may well be the most important discovery ever.
