Ex: baptism. Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. And allows us to become members of the church. We are called to inspire other people to become members of the church. Virtues are the ability to make morally good decisions that lead to the habit of doing good. Ex: Trust. This means I trust in my relationship with God and other people. A parable is a story that sums up a lesson about the kingdom of heaven. Ex: The mustard seed. The mustard seed is small but grows like the kingdom of God. Works of mercy are kind and small acts so we can show compassion towards others. Ex: A Corporal work of mercy feed the hungry. Ex: A spiritual work of mercy is like instructing the ignorant. There are both callings to help people that God sent us to inspire The beatitudes are Jesus' teachings about how to live and find real happiness in God's Kingdom.
