Supranational Organizations Philippines has three branches to remain checks and balances within each sector. Just as Montesquieu had proposed, Philippines has the Executive branch, Legislative Branch , and the Judicial Branch. Within these three branches, the Executive has the most authority with chief of state as the highest, head of government as second and the cabinet as third. In Philippines, the people have been given authority from the higher power to control certain regions. For instance, power has been passed down to the mayor of the city from the three branches. This power, in turn, goes to the officials of different district from the mayors. Government The blue color of the flag represents peace, truth and justice. The red represents patriotism, bravery and valor. The white triangle stands for fraternity and equality. And the three stars represent the three major groups of islands in Philippines. Then finally, the golden sun in the middle represents unity, freedom, democracy and sovereignty. Being an island nation, Philippines is isolatedby the sea and not a lot of people go thereeven the transportation has become very easythese days. In addition to this, there is only afew migrant labors who come to work at Philippines.Due to the low number of immigrants and isolation,Philippines has been able to sustain its culture and practice it very exclusively. Religion is the main centrifugal force in Philippines that has been driving people apart. The Muslim citizens of North Philippines and Roman Catholic citizens of the South Philippines never seem to get along. Much blood has been spilt on this account due to the clash of beliefs. Thus, it claimed the resources to be its own. However, Philippines is not the only country praying for the rich minerals deep within that area. China, Malaysia and Vietnam has also been playing hard in this battle that is hard to be won.
