Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 NINJAS AND TEA CEREMONIES Introduced around The Sengoku period (15th-17th century), Iga and Koga, were the first schools to teach ninjas. Ninjas were the skilled assassins that daimyo used instead of samurai for infiltration and sabotage because the samurai obliged to the bushido. Also known as shinobi, ninjas trained in a art of stealth used later on for espionage, called ninjutsu. There areonly two living ninja left, one of which is Masaaki Hat-Sumi. He has trained in the secret ways of ninjutsuand is currently the Togakure-ryu Soke. The title of Sokemeans grand master, with this title he must keep the style of the martial art secret to the public. In this modern society we do not need ninjas anymore. Military and soldiers use guns for weapons and don’t have weak armor that a shuriken can pierce. Ninjas were truly stealthy and skillful in Japan but with only one true ninja left, the secrecy of ninjutsu is not likely to reveal soon nor will it have an impact on history that much. There is lots of doubt that ninjas would be used today for assassination or espionage unless used by very high authority, otherwise they would becomeextinct to the modern society we have today. In Japan, there is a traditional tea ceremony that dates back to 1,000 years ago. This tea ceremony is called called Chanoyu, Sado or Ocha. This ritual serves Japanese green tea called Matcha. It is also deeply rooted in Zen philosophy which helps the mind find harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. The Japanese believe that by performing this ritual, you will achieve inner peace and serenity for a short amount of time. Furthermore on tea ceremonies, this type of tradition should be kept in Japan as a peaceful hobby. I doubt that we will actually need this in everyday life, because its few purposes are for entertainment for foreigners, or for people who have the time to gain inner peace. Tea ceremonies are only relevant when relieving stress or anxiety. This can have the ability to improve work skills and the way socializing is done, but otherwise it has no importance to the modern world in terms of business and work. ARE THEY RELEVANT?
