The Americans won the battle because British reinforcements(William Howe) didn't show up.At Saratoga, Burgoyne surrendered on Oct. 17. Even though they were thebetter soldiers at the time, they were running out of supplies and had become weak.-If British soldiers were better prepared, the British might have won. Similarities -In the Invasion of Canada(1775), the British had taken over Canada and had kept control of it even after the battle. Two years later, they were planning to invade New York from Canada. (The two events have Canada in common) -Obviously, both events were fought between the British and the Americans-America wanted France on their side during both events.
