Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Ganymede is the largest moon in our Solar Systemand is also covered mostly in frozen ocean waterlike Europa. Oddly enough this moon appears geologically new in some areas while other partsseem geologically old. Plus the crust is fragmentedwith large crest. Jupiter's Moons Although Jupiter has 63 Moons4 of them stand out apart fromthe rest, and those are : Lo,Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto,They are also known as the Galilean Moons, because Galileowas the man who discovered them. Lo Europa Ganymede Callisto This moon is also covered in largefrozen oceans made from water, but unlike the other moons thisone is geologically dead, and iscovered with craters. There is noevidence of plate tectonics, but there are symbols of old terrain. Lo is a geologicallyactive moon, and also the innermost Galilean moon. It is the most active surface in the SolarSystem, and the newest as well. The interior of this moonis completely molten, and it is always pushing its way to the surface. Very different from Lo,Europa is the smoothestsurface in the Solar System. It appearsto be completely coveredin frozen ocean water, and has been hit byvery few things.Interestingly enough, thismoon has a molten core. Nasa describes Loas a "Giant pizza covered with meltedcheese with splotchesof tomato and ripe olives" Jupiter's moons have orbital periodsthat range from7 hours to 3 years Ganymede is the only moon inthe Solar Systemwith a magnetic feild. The temperature pfEuropa is -216 degreeswhich is cold enoughto deep freeze a standing ocean. William Muller
