GMAT; The GMAT is for admission into business and management graduate programs, and it examines writing and reasoning skills. LSAT: This test examines reasoning skills for students applying to a professional law degree program. MCAT: The MCAT is an exams for students wishing to apply to medical school. It examines knowledge and skills in science, writing, and verbal skills. PCAT: This is an exam for students wishing to apply to pharmacy school. It examines knowledge and skills in chemistry, biology, writing, and quantitative abilities. Aptitude test administered to holders of the bachelor’s degree to determine capacity foradvanced study and research. There are two types of test: the General Test measures verbaland quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills; the Subject Testsmeasure knowledge in selected subjects. Aptitude test consisting of partial analogies to be completed in a set time frame. The testmeasures idea relationships, English fluency, and content skills in the humanities, naturalsciences, social sciences, and mathematics. Some programs accept this as a substitute to theGRE. A proficiency test designed to measure knowledge and skill in understanding and usingwritten English language. Required for international students whose native language is notEnglish. Some institutions accept TOEFL scores in lieu of other test scores.
