She lost her dad due to bipolar disorder and substance abuse. Then she lost two brothers to paranoid schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She herself, is bipolar and has struggled a lot to deal with it. It was hard for her to accept she had something in common with three people who lost the battle and committed suicide. It scared her a lot and caused her to start abusing some substances. This went on until she found help and started rebuilding for life. She had constant relapses and moments where she thought she could make it. Both her husband and son did not accept for disorder and told her she was fine and doctors just wanted more money. This didn't help her mental state and made it worse. She changed therapist and found one who really helped. They told her yes, she did have a mental disorder, but that mental disorder did not have to control her life. She has made an amazing recovery and really changed her life for the better.
