In many respects, he was a stranger to most of his family, who also attended the visitation for the baby, who was born and left to die in an Eastpointe garage just before Christmas and who was found in mid-January at a Roseville recycling center. Sheriff's officials says five children were found living in filth alongwith their parents and the body of their dead grandfather. Deputieshaven't identified the grandfather but say they found the 62-year-oldman's body in the home Friday evening. Deputies said the man had been dead at least 24 hours.The sheriff's office calls the conditions extremely unsanitary and described a scene with large amounts of trash, dirty clothes and food on the floor in the living area. Plumbing leaks and raw sewage were found in the bathrooms. DSS has takencustody of the children, whose ages range from 9 months old to 13years. One of the children did not belong to either suspect. Police arrested the parents, 25-year-old Melissa Kay Lynn Poole and 39-year-old Jeremy Daniel Dishner, and charged them with five counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Dishner was also wanted on an outstanding warrant in Alexander County for driving without a license. Both have been released on bond.
