Newtons 1st Law An object in motion stays in motion until an outside force acts upon it. Newtons 2nd Law F=ma Weight Weight is the force generated by the gravitational attraction of the earth on any object. Universal Law of Gravity An example of this would be an apple falling from a tree. Tides/Moon Phases Tides are the alternating rise & fall in sea level.Spring tides occur duringfull & new moons. Neap tides occurduring quarter moons. The phases of the moon include New, First Quarter Full, & 3rd Quarter. Projectile Motion Examples of projectile motion would be an object thrown vertically upward & an object thrownupward at an angle horizontally. Newtons 3rd Law For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The forces are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. Force pair- Forces always come in pairs known as "actionreaction force pairs". Examples of this would be a car, gun, bird & fish, & space. Momentum MeasurementAmountGravityNounImpulseTotalUsed in math & scienceDirectionEnergy The change in momentum states that the change inmomentum of an object equals theimpulse applied to it. Elastic collisions are when thekinetic energy is conserved. Inelastic collision is when the kinetic energy is not conserved.
