Difference The Battle of Lexington was a military conflict between the Kingdom of Great Britain and its thirteen colonies in North America during the American Revolutionary War. The Siege at Boston started on April 19, 1775 and lasted until March 17 1776. It took place in Boston,Massachusetts and it started because the continental army decided to attack the British in Boston and started bombing the place. Two groups were impacted, they were the British and the Continental Army. The plan was a success for the Continental Army and they won the Siege of Boston. Both played a part in the revoutionary war. Both could've planned the battle better. Gages plan failed because the minute men knew his plans from using spies and secret tricks If the British were coming by land the minute men would hang two lanturn if they came by land they hung one The Seige of Boston started with a bomb. The first shot was called "The shot heard around the world" because of the importance that the revolutinary war would have on the United States The British tried to escape on a boat but instead got stuck at Chelsea island and the Americans defeated them.
