So, why am I applying? At the beginning of 2012, I transferred to Goldcrest's London office, where I co-founded andmanaged the picture department. Traveling is one of life's biggest highs, and some of the most important self-discovery work we can do. Whenwe travel, we become momentarily detached from the things we have to carry every day. That sudden freedomis intoxicating, and seems to me a way to wipe the slate clean. Here you are, in a new land, as a fresh canvas.Who will you be today? What elements will you allow to shape you? The immediacy of choice is readily apparentwhen you travel, and that is very empowering. A varied, international viewpoint, the result of diligent work in 3 major global cities. It is a dear thing, to go into someone else's home, but letting them show you what makes placesor beliefs important, what makes that place truly home, is a downright honor. Perhaps this is what makes travelingsuch a fiercely unique experience. When else do courage and humility mix so seamlessly? Now let's be real. Actually beginning to plan a trip is mega-stressful because of all those pesky details. If there wasa way for someone else to deal with all that bookings stuff, that would leave the travel birds free to focus on justbeing in the moment. If only there was a company out there, who strove to find the best for their clients at everyturn. Well wait, there's your company, of course! And there's me, who, as it turns out, is exceptional with details, and working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth production from start to finish is the work in which I shine.
