Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Uranus is the seventh planetfrom the Sun. It has the third-largest planetary radius and fourth-largest planetary mass in the Solar System. The distance from the Sun is 1,787,000,000 miles or 2,877,000,000 km Uranus have a mass over 86,810,300,000,000,000 billion kg (14.536 x Earth) Equatorial Diameter: 51,120 kmPolar Diameter: 49,946 kmEquatorial Circumference: 159,354 km The surface gravity on Uranus is about 86%of the surface gravity on Earth, so if you weigh 100pounds on Earth, you would weigh 86 poundson Uranus. Uranus orbits the Sun much furtherthan the Earth, and so it takes much longer to orbit the Sun. Uranus takes 84.3 years to complete itsorbit around the Sun. Uranus rotates faster than Earth so a day on Uranus is shorter than a day on Earth. A day on Uranus is17.24 Earth hours while a day on Earth is 23.934 hours. However, Uranus spins backwards compared to Earth and most of the other planets. Uranus have 27 moons. It is Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon Cordelia, Ophelia, Bianca, Cressida, Desdemona, Juliet, Portia, Rosalind, Cupid, Belinda, Perdita, Puck, Mab, Francisco, Caliban, Stephano, Trinculo, Sycorax, Margaret, Prospero, Setebos & Ferdinand. Uranus has 9 brighter rings as wellas several fainter rings. The outermostring is made up of ice bouldersseveral feet across. The other ringsare made up mainly of icy chunks darkened by rocks. Evidence indicates that Uranus may have a silicate rock core which is 4,800 km in diameter. The mantle is likely ice or ice-rock mixture. Above the mantle is the lower atmosphere, which consists of molecular hydrogen, helium, and traces of other gasses. Finally, the upper atmosphere is methane with cloud layers of ammonia or water ice. The magnetic field discovered and mapped by Voyager 2 implies a field generating regionin Uranus' interior which extends out to 0.7 of Uranus radius from the center, and that part of Uranus' interior is a fluid and has a high internal temperature. FunFacts Uranus is often referred to as an ice giant planet: Like the other gas giants, it has a hydrogen upper layer, which has helium mixed in. Below that is an icy mantle, which surrounds a rock and ice core. The upper atmosphere is made of water, ammonia and the methane ice crystals that give the planet its pale blue color.
