Drag a cornerto scale proportionally. The novel "Heaven is for Real" by: Todd Burpo explains how after dying, Colton Burpo, takes a trip to Heaven and back. In the beginning of the novel, Todd experienced a broken leg, kidney stones, and breast cancer, putting the Burpo family in a tight spot financially. Not long after, Colton, the youngest member of the family, started to get a fever with the chills, and severe stomach discomfort. When Colton was taken to the local doctor, he was diagnosed with the stomach flu. After recovering this minor setback, the family decided to take a trip to visit theirnew cousin (or nephew) for the first time since he was born, and to also meet a pastor from Greeley Wesleyan Church for a conference. When they got back to the hotel from having dinner with the pastorand his wife, Colton's stomach issues fired up again, only they were worse. Though out the night, Colton was vomitingevery half an hour, putting him in critical condition. The next morning, the familytransported Colton to a hospital in Imperial, Colorado, which is three hours away. They later found out that the hospital couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He was later transferred to a medical center in North Platte, where they did many tests that showed that he had appendicitis. They later performed an apendectomy on Colton. During the surgery, Colton died, and made a visit to Heaven andback. When Colton returnedfrom Heaven he tells his story to many of his friends and family. "You might as well tell God whatyou think. He already knows it anyway." -Todd Burpo I chose this quote from my book, because I realizedthat manyquotes likethis inspiredme to talk toGod more. If we made a movie basedoff of this book, more peoplemight feel thesame way I do,and talk to Godmore often aswell. This story took place when Colton was three. He is now fifteen years old. The details that Colton used to describe what he sawin Heaven, he had no priorknowledge on. Todd Burpo is a pastorat one of the Wesleyan Churches.
