The British soldiers handled the problem by shooting at all the people. This event ended up killing several and harming more. Some people stood up for the soldiers for the colonial justice system but others stood with the people of Boston. Outcome of the Boston Massacre- The outcome of the Boston Massacre is that it ended up being the pre-revolutionary war and started the Revolutionary war that made America free and become the first country to become free from England. We agree with the outcome because without the Boston Massacre it wouldn't have lead to the revolution and this country wouldn't be free from the grips of Britain. Other possible outcomes of the Boston Massacre are that the American Colonists could have stopped the protest after the first one and America could have still been a part of England. Related- The Boston Massacre is related to the Paris Masssacre becasue they were working with an organization and were killed. Evidence- Evidence that justifies the British actions are they thought they were being attacked when the Colonists were throwing rocks and ice and one of the soldiers decided to pull the trigger. The evidence that justifies the American Colonists is the British fired at them and took the lives of their friends and companions so they should revolt against the soldiers and avenge the deaths. Changes- Changes that could have happened are the British could have not fired and have not lost the American colonies. The primary source for this event is the painting by John Adams that he made from the perspective of the American Colonists. Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea party is connected to the Tea Act because without the Tea Act the Boston Tea Party would have never happened. When the Tea Act was passed it meant that the colonists would have taxation on tea and other goods. This made the colonists angry because they had no say in how they were represented in Parliament. The Boston Tea Party was caused by an unfair taxation of colonists on goods from England. The people were unhappy and decided to toss the tea into the ocean and let the British figure out what to do with the lost money. When the colonists did this it told the British that the colonists wanted representation in Parliament. Outcome- The British shut down the Boston Harbor until all the chests of lost tea were paid off. This was part of the Intolerable Acts and known as the Boston Port ActI don't agree with the outcome because I think that the British should have shut down taxation on tea so as not to pay for any more if another small instance of revolution were to happen. The British could have arrested and executed the Sons of Liberty for their acts and told their families to give up all their prized belongings to pay for all the dumped goods. Both of these events happened in Boston and were large revolutions against the British. Although, the Boston Tea Party had no casualties and no people were injured. The Boston Massacre however three people were killed and many more were injured. Some victims might have died from their injuries. 18,523,000 cups of tea could have been brewed from the tea dumped in the harbor. That costs more than $1,700,000 dollars in today's money. Justification- The colonists were unfairly taxed and it wasn't fair that their representative didn't do their job and didn't voice the opinion of the colonists. It wasn't right that the people were made to pay for "essential" things like tea when the Redcoats didn't have to. Primary Source- The primary source is George Hewes, a shoemaker from Boston, thought that he should help the Sons of Liberty and put a stop to the Tea Act. He was interviewed and told a firsthand account of the Boston Tea Party. Works Cited"Boston Tea Party Aftermath | 1773 | Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum."
