They used secret codes like lanterns to say if the regulars (British) were coming by land or sea. They also waited for the British to fire first then they would attack. Also when the British were on there way back to Boston they were ambushed. The people were smart and they knew what they had to do and they were willing to do whatever it took to win the war. 9. Defend the way the minutemen & militia fought at Lexington and Concord was the first military conflicts between the Colonial rebel forces and Great Britain during the Revolutionary War, and they were brought about as a result of growing tension, Colonial militarization and a British desire to prevent militaristic push back. The Stamp Act I think I would be more aware of my surroundings and expect more from the minutemen that way, when they did fight. Also they should of been more organized in their strategies.
